NELSON MANDELA may be surprised to know it, but he is responsible for an entire fashion line.

The former South Africa president's recent trip to T&T has inspired Port-of-Spain couturier Claudia Pegus to create a new line of menswear.
"Mr Mandela's sense of style and colour has strongly influenced my male collection," Pegus said on Friday.
"This year, I was looking for some inspiration for my gents' collection which I'll be showing at Caribbean Fashion Week in Jamaica on June 11. The theme will be Mandela, a collection of shirts based on the inspiration I received from Mr Mandela," she said.
Even before Pegus gets her show on the road, however, she is content that Mandela has some of her shirts in his wardrobe at home in South Africa.
Two of her silk shirts were presented to Mandela on Thursday by Concacaf president Jack Warner in Zurich.
Pegus said the shirts were given as a gift "from the people of Trinidad and Tobago."
